Most of the time, we love Kpop groups for their fierce songs, colorful MVs, unusual concepts, and fun, upbeat songs. However, Kpop is also home to gorgeous ballads, sweet love songs, R&B, and much more! And on Valentine’s Day, there is no better time to explore some of the romantic gems that Kpop has given us over the years. From cute, upbeat songs of love to sincere confessions and promises, here are eight of our favorite romantic songs to play this Valentine’s Day!
1. iKON- “My Type”
This adorable song is one of the most upbeat ones on our list. The cute video shows off the playful, innocent side of iKON and lets us see them as young guys wanting to confess their love. The lyrics state, “You’re my type, you’re my type. Even if you don’t say anything, I have a feeling, from your head to your toes, everything. You’re my type.”
2. Soyou x Junggigo (feat. Lil Boi) – “Some”
This amazing song took the charts by storm and soon became one of the most popular songs in Kpop. It also helped popularized the phrase “some,” meaning a couple who has a little something going on, but isn’t official. This song is good for friends who are on the verge of a relationship and just need a little honesty to get things going. “I want to open my eyes to your text every morning. I want to fall asleep with your voice at the end of the day…. These days, it feels like you’re mine, it seems like you’re mine but not. It feels like I’m yours, it seems like I’m yours but not. What are we? I’m confused.”
3. Busker Busker – “Cherry Blossom Ending”
This beautiful song is a sweet confession from a guy who is walking down the street with a girl. Cherry blossoms are falling all around, and he works up his courage to make a move, hoping for a little true love. The precious lyrics state, “You, now let’s hold hands on this street. How is this love song that you hear right now? I hold hands with you, whom I love, As we walk together on this unknown street.” This song became a big hit in Korea due to its innocent lyrics and beautiful melody.
4. Super Junior – “Marry U”
With a title like “Marry U,” you already know it’s deserving to be on this list of perfect songs for Valentine’s Day. For years, Super Junior has used this song for their fans, but the lyrics actually go much deeper. Although the MV is old, the song is still great!“Until your dark hair turns white, My love, my girl, I’ll swear my love. Saying I love you, I want to do it every day for a lifetime. Would you marry me? Loving and cherishing you, I want to live this way. Every time you fall asleep, I want it to be in my arms.”

5. BTS – “Just One Day”
BTS may be known for their fierce songs and amazing choreography, but they also have some slower gems as well. This sweet song tells of an innocent longing to be with the one you love, even if it’s only for one day. The lyrics capture the earnest feelings of young love as they sing, “I appreciate the masterpiece that is you because your existence alone is art. I imagine this all night every day because it’s a meaningless dream anyway. Just one day, if I can be with you. Just one day, if I can hold your hands. Just one day, if I can be with you, Just one day.”
6. Akdong Musician – “I Love You”
This adorable song tells of a one-sided, innocent love, hoping the other person will notice and confess as well. The lyrics talk about always noticing the person you like and suffering in silence because they don’t know how you feel. As with anything, Akdong Musician delivers an amazing song, as well as an adorable performance. The cute lyrics say, “I love you, I love you. On the days that I see you, although it’s not just us two, I try to look good in front of you, I’m like that. I love you, I love you. On days I can see you, although it’s not just us two, My heart races, I’m telling you.”
7. Roy Kim – “Love Love Love”
Both this song and video are absolutely perfect for Valentine’s Day! Roy Kim delivers a great MV filled with lots of happy and romantic imagery, while the song itself is perfect for confessing your love. Roy’s gorgeous voice is perfect for this soaring and joyful confession of love, making it bright and hopeful. “My dear, the moment I first saw your eyes, My dear, I fell into an unknown heart fluttering scent. I always only looked at your eyes. I hoped that you would always look at me too. I will tell you now With this voice. Love, oh love, yes, I like you so much. Love, oh love, yes, I really love you.”
8. Sam Kim x Loco – “Think About’ Chu”
For the final song on the list, we have this deliciously smooth and sensual song from Sam Kim and Loco. The R&B feel manages to perfectly express the story of a couple who has been together for a long time, but still feels a passionate love as they remember their times together. “When we rest our heads on our pillows, It puts a soft smile on our faces yeah. When we lock eyes and hands touch, We start to hate how time flies yeah…I was alone for many days baby, Days that felt as cold as ice.When I felt your smile towards me, My heart was already A burning hot summer yeah…. we listened to this song and Stared at each other’s faces and laughed. I remember that memory here, The love between you and I. I feel it, I feel it. Tonight baby now.”
