In real life, we all have our preferences when it comes to dating people who are younger, older, or even the same age as us! However, K-dramas consistently prove that age is just a number when it comes to good chemistry.

Inspired by the recently concluded JTBC drama “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food,’’ here are eight of our favorite K-drama couples that made us swoon despite their age differences in real life.

1. “My Name is Kim Sam Soon” – 9 Years

With a good storyline and great chemistry between famous actress Kim Sun Ah and her co-star Hyun Bin, this classic K-drama is still one of the must-watch “noona-romance” dramas that all fans love.

2. “My Love From Another Star” – 6 Years

This rom-com fantasy brought attention to Jun Ji Hyun and Kim Soo Hyun’s seven-year age gap in real life. In the drama however, Kim Soo Hyun plays a 400-year-old alien who falls in love with a top Hallyu star. To this day, this series is still listed as many fans’ favorite K-dramas.

3. “I Can Hear Your Voice” – 11 Years

This drama is a package set: suspense, legal, sci-fi, thriller, romance, and family. Lee Jong Suk proved that his chemistry with versatile actress Lee Bo Young was something that couldn’t be ignored, regardless of the fact that she is over a decade older than him in real life.

4. “Temperature of Love” – 8 Years

When this drama first aired in 2017, fans were wondering if Yang Se Jong could pull off good chemistry with Seo Hyun Jin since she is older than him by seven years in real life. However, when their epic push-and-pull love affair begins to steam up, it became clear that chemistry wasn’t a problem!

5. “Witch’s Romance” – 19 Years

Who would have ever expected Park Seo Joon to star in a good noona-romance with veteran actress Uhm Jung Hwa? This was one of the couples that left many people doubting the romance story, but when the drama finally aired, all doubts were shuttered and people began to love this sexy and hot couple!

6. “Another Oh Hae Young” – 8 Years

This couple wasn’t the main lead of the drama, but their love story here is a scene stealer! Kim Ji Suk’s role as an attorney who eventually fell in love with his best friend’s older sister (played by Ye Ji Won) was one of the cutest parts of the series. Their love story also contributed to the success of this drama and helped make it the highest rated Korean drama in cable history at the time.

7. “Oh My Ghostess” – 9 Years

Fans can’t forget the great chemistry that Park Bo Young and Jo Jung Suk brought out in this drama! Thanks to the help of a virgin ghost who possesses Na Bong Soon’s body and makes the older hero fall in love with her, many people loved this couple and their cute love story.

8. “Goblin: The Lonely and Great God” – 11 Years

This drama gained popularity not only for its brilliant storyline and gorgeous cinematography, but also because of the Goblin and Grim Reaper’s bromance.  However, the lead couple, played by Gong Yoo and the younger Kim Go Eun, set our hearts fluttering with their excellent chemistry.

Although we love all the different genres that K-dramas have to offer, we still must admit a partiliaty to a good romance where the younger lead falls hopelessly in love with an older and wiser noona or oppa.

Is there another K-drama couple you want to add to our list? What other stars have proven that age is just an number? Let us know your thoughts below!
