A group that debuted in 2015 under JYP Entertainment, DAY6 has turned into one of the most incredible K-rock groups of their generation. With their unique sound, great looks, and undeniable charm, they’ve conquered the hearts of thousands of fans worldwide.
With a promising comeback knocking at our door, it’s time to sum up their career with some of the group’s best songs.
“Blood” belongs to DAY6’s second mini-album Daydream, an album released in March 2016. Written and composed by Jae and Young K, this underrated song and its relaxing sound is great to detox from life’s daily pressures. It’s just a matter of time until you’ll find yourself moving your head to the beat or trying to learn the lyrics to Young K’s amazing rap.
“When You Love Someone” was the September release of the group’s “Every DAY6” project in 2017. Ever since then, fans just can’t stop listening to it! Let the melancholy melody— composed by Jae, Sungjin, Young K, and Wonpil— touch your soul with lyrics like, “I don’t want any scars in your heart ever again.”
Possibly the most relatable song that has been written in K-pop history, “Be Lazy” is a must for music fans. Don’t let its fast beat fool you because dancing isn’t the point of this song! Just “stay safe under the blanket, it’s too dangerous outside” as you chill to the sound of this marvelous track.

I won’t lie: “I’ll Try” will make you cry. With a soothing melody on the track and a fantastic aesthetic for the MV, this perfect track shines a light on the members’ great vocals. It proves the group’s versatility and unquestionable vocal talent. I must admit that every time I hear this song, it gives me the chills, making it a favorite from the very first time I heard it.
Warning: do not sleep on this song! To be honest, since Shoot Me: Youth Part I was released, this track has turned into my favorite track from DAY6. Characterized as a powerful rock song, it will leave you wanting more of this fierce side of the band. They quite literally rock it, and it sounds amazing.
One out of the six songs on DAY6’s first album The Day, “Freely” has turned into a classic. As such, it couldn’t be left out off this list. At the time it was released, Junhyeok was still a member of the group. Even if we miss him now, listening to this song will always bring happy memories of his time with DAY6. With its fast beat and catchy chorus, it invites everyone who listens to it to “be free” and “don’t worry about tomorrow” as well all just dance our worries away!
