On June 8th KST, MYNAME’s youngest member Chae Jinseok, best known as Chaejin, revealed the news through a post on his Instagram profile.
The singer and musical actor will be starting his enlistment on July 6, where he will complete basic training for 6 weeks before serving in active duty.
He thanked his fans for all their love and worried about their surprise at the news, citing that as the reason for making the post although he still has a month to go. He expressed his pride towards performing the duty of military service, believing it will be a new experience with hopes to return with a more mature appearance after completing it well, even signing off by saying he will return as The Hulk!
Chaejin made his debut as a member of MYNAME in 2011, who ended their contract with agency H2 Media last year but have assured fans they did not disband. He is the third member of the group to enlist after oldest member Insoo, who completed his service last year, and leader Gunwoo who enlisted earlier this year.
We wish Chaejin all the very best for his military service!
